The Karma Customer Experience: Customizing a Karma Invictus
Assigned Drivers Only. Those words are inscribed on the doors of Karma Automotive’s Kaveya super-coupe prototype vehicle, as only designated staff are permitted behind the wheel. Karma believes this same ethos applies to its clients: only the most discerning customers choose Karma, and they join the ranks of Karma’s “assigned drivers” found all over the world. Such esteemed clients deserve an equally esteemed customer experience to remind them that they’re not simply purchasing a car: they’re stepping into a whole new era of American ultra-luxury.
Karma recently hosted a client interested in configuring his very own Karma Invictus: one of only 30 to be built. This performance-focused, hand-finished expression of the groundbreaking Karma Revero sedan turns up the wick in every dimension with unique carbon fiber bodywork, elevated interior appointments, and driver-focused performance upgrades underpinned by Karma’s proven and versatile hybrid Extended-Range Electric (EREV) powertrain. The exterior exemplifies Karma’s commitment to customization with highly technical paintwork that, if selected by a client, fades from paint to exposed carbon fiber on the hood and trunk of the vehicle. Inside, the retrimmed seats and interior appliqués draw inspiration from art deco icons like New York City’s Chrysler Building, while also paying homage to the spirit of American design and ingenuity which inspires Karma Automotive. Chassis improvements include advanced Motorsport coilovers from Öhlins paired with Swift springs, delivering more direct and precise steering as well as improved grip and predictability at the cornering limit.

This distinguished client was invited to Karma Headquarters in Irvine, California, to meet with Nicholas David, Karma’s Vice President of Global Design, and other members of the Karma Design Team for an exclusive one-on-one configuration session to customize his vehicle. This personalized, tactile experience, as well as being welcomed into a very private space only few outsiders have ever seen, is something that you can only get as part of the Karma circle.
“It’s no surprise that our client chose to personalize a Karma Invictus,” says Nicholas David, Vice President of Global Design, Karma Automotive. “When we introduced Karma Invictus, we described it as the first true expression of Karma’s customization strategy — a vehicle that reflects not only our design philosophy, but also the individuality of its owner. Karma has always focused on crafting vehicles that are emotionally resonant as well as technically sophisticated. With Karma Invictus and our broader portfolio, the experience extends beyond performance and design — it’s about presence, confidence, and the assurance of EREV technology delivering both range flexibility and refinement. It’s for those who value distinction — and prefer not to drive what everyone else is driving.”

Once the client finalized his spec, new images were created by the Design Team and uploaded to a virtual photo album for his convenience, giving him an appetizer of the Karma Invictus that will soon grace his driveway.

Following his time at Karma HQ, the client was shuttled to the Karma Innovation and Customization Center (KICC) in Moreno Valley for a tour of the facility. He received a special look into Karma’s assembly process, as well as an exclusive drive session and hood signing to place his name alongside other esteemed Karma owners. This tour served as a tangible reminder that Karma’s vehicles are not only designed in America, but also built in America, handcrafted by hard-working Americans striving to redefine American ultra-luxury as we know it.
Karma Automotive takes great pride in those that dare to be different and shun normalcy in favor of rewriting the very story of the automobile. This client chose to do so in an exclusive, personalized way, fashioning his Karma perfectly to his liking; for those who are a bit less patient, Karma-authorized retailers across the country carry vehicles ready for purchase or leasing.
