Karma Automotive Introduces the Karma Airbiquity Suite™ — A Production-Proven Platform for Software-Defined Vehicles

IRVINE, Calif., July 31, 2024 – Karma Automotive today announces the launch of the Karma Airbiquity Suite™, a production-proven connected vehicle platform designed to accelerate OEM adoption of software-defined vehicle (SDV) architectures while mitigating integration risk and protecting near-term profitability.

Built upon the globally deployed Airbiquity technology portfolio acquired by Karma Automotive in February 2024, the Karma Airbiquity Suite combines mature OTA infrastructure, vehicle data management, and data analytics into a scalable, automotive-grade solution currently validated in live production environments.

With deployments spanning more than 60 countries and long-standing relationships with global OEMs, the Airbiquity foundation brings field-tested reliability, cybersecurity discipline, and operational scale to Karma’s expanding role as both automaker and enterprise technology partner.

Unlike laboratory-stage platforms, technologies within the Karma Airbiquity Suite are deployed first in Karma production vehicles, enabling continuous validation under real-world operating conditions. OEM partners benefit from software that is production-hardened prior to broad integration, reducing development cycles and accelerating time to market.

“The automotive industry continues to undergo massive transformation, adopting new technology at a pace never seen before,” says Marques McCammon, President, Karma Automotive. “Each of these new innovations challenges manufacturers’ deeply-rooted systems, architectures, processes and supply chain. The goal is to pivot to the future while sustaining profitability today. Software-Defined Vehicles are the future, but it’s yet to be fully realized because the cost of change, at least in the near term, is erosive to profits. It is a classic innovator’s dilemma but playing at industry scale. The Karma Airbiquity suite demonstrates the role Karma Automotive will play as an ally, helping manufacturers meet the demands of tomorrow, right now.”

The Karma Airbiquity Suite Includes:

OTAmatic™

A cloud-to-vehicle OTA update framework supporting secure firmware and software deployment across distributed vehicle architectures. OTAmatic enables issue resolution, feature enhancement, and post-sale capability expansion throughout the vehicle lifecycle.

LOGmatic™

A bi-directional vehicle data and analytics platform delivering remote diagnostics, enabling AI data-lakes, and real-time engineering feedback loops. LOGmatic supports proactive maintenance strategies while generating statistically relevant design cases derived from live vehicle data.

DATAmatic™

A comprehensive software development platform for in-vehicle analytics. Develop edge analytics once and deploy to many devices. DATAmatic provides platform tools for developers to easily create distributed software applications on ECUs able to perform edge processing. Manage, configure, and deploy selected edge analytic module components – all with the security and privacy expected in today’s solutions.

Karma vehicle customers received their first experience with Karma OTAmatic with the launch of “Tune”, a new cabin audio experience for the Karma Revero sport sedan. This optional upgrade, engineered by luxury audio designer Master & Dynamic, was made available to new Revero owners as of Model Year 2024 and later.

Strategic Value for OEMs

  • Production-validated OTA and VDM infrastructure
  • Reduced integration and cybersecurity risk
  • Accelerated SDV deployment timelines
  • Predictive maintenance enablement
  • Real-world validation prior to scaled rollout
  • Continuous lifecycle revenue potential

By combining Airbiquity’s global deployment maturity with Karma’s production validation environment, the Karma Airbiquity Suite positions Karma Automotive as a strategic B2B partner enabling manufacturers to modernize vehicle architectures without absorbing disproportionate transition risk.
